A mystically-based Victorian-like séance via Zoom lead by Jewish mystic Yitzhak Schlomi. Using techniques of Jewish mysticism, Yitzhak leads the participants to interactively work together in a serious attempt to contact the spirits that linger around your neighbourhood. Please come with an open mind; prior experience in meditation is not necessary, but useful. We will not be trying to contact your dead relatives, so please don't ask. If you have a moral objection to communicating with spirits of the dead, please do not sign up for this event.
Practising Jewish mystic Yitzhak Schlomi interactively leads the participants through the theory and terminology of Jewish mysticism as it relates to interacting with spirits, particularly spirits of the dead. Using the Hitbonenut, an ancient form of Jewish meditation, we will elevate your Nefesh (an aspect of your own living spirit), increasing your perception to spirits of the dead that linger around the your local neighbourhood and beyond. This séance expects a high degree of group participation and interaction. Like all séances Yitzhak leads, this experience will be largely positive and uplifting – not scary.
Yitzhak will do as much as he can to keep everyone safe, but due to the virtual nature of of this séance, you are welcome to provide your own local form of protection, such as smudging, lighting of a special candle, or private incantation.
You are asked to provide yourself with a calm, quiet space, away from distractions during the séance. Dimming the lights and your screen may help to achieve this. During the séance, please mute your microphone when not talking so others can remain focussed.
If you have something to act as a pendulum, even if just a necklace, please have it handy. Also, please have a candle ready to light during the séance – you will need to be able to readily see the flame; a tea candle would be ideal.
