Rav Yitzhak Schlomi

A Jewish Exorcism Kit

ryICON

Yitzhak's kit includes an ancient oil lamp (lower centre) which is used to beckon certain spirits. The flame can hold power over some spirits for a short time.

The two small meteorites (right) are powerful attractors for Shedem and other Jewish spirits. There are two different types of meteorites to attract Shedem (a iron meteorite) and a tektite for attacting Dybbuks and other like spirits.

Tefillin (phylacteries, lower far right) and amulets (reference Minhat Yehudah 47a) are used to command spirits, particularly Shedem, and to offer protection to the victim and exocist.

The shorter miniature scroll (lower centre) is a kvittle - a tiny scroll with written requests for spiritual guidance and healing. The small longer scroll (lower left) is the Ana B'koah - an acrostic prayer made from a name of G-d.

A Shofar (ram's horn, lower far left) is used to say farewell to the spirit once it is free from the victim and it is send on its way.

The bound book (open at the centre) contains Psalms 10, 91, and 127, thought to be particularly effective in protecting from and guiding spirits.

Consumables include herbs and sulphur (inside the box upper left) for burning. There are used to help lure the spirit out of the victim.

The empty glass flask into which the dybbuk can retreat to once it has left the victim is pictured in the lower right corner. Sometimes the dybbuk's essence can be visually seen entering the flask.

The larger box in the upper right is a Mitzodah - a spirit trap - for more sarar (ornery) spirits. The spirit trap contains a small meteorite to attract the spirit inside the box; the inside walls of the box are mirrored to trap the spirit within. The Mitzodah is used for longer-term containment.
